We are a boutique, micro-cidery that started from a desire to craft something with our hands using local fruit, and let time and nature do their work through modern fermentation techniques. Our fruit comes directly from orchards located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. We’d love for you to visit our tasting room located in the idyllic town of Bluemont, Virginia. Try the drink that’s being revitalized, one apple at a time.
We take our beautiful Virginia apples and slowly press them into juice. This simple change is both delicious and incredibly interesting on it’s own. Add some wine yeast to this, wait a few months, and a transformation takes place that unveils character and charm. The juice is turned hard and becomes a highly drinkable product. Hidden aroma’s are released… tannins and acids come out…and a true cider is born.
We are located on the first floor of the large old mill – look for the Wild Hare sign in the alley between Epling Landscape and the mill. Parking is directly to the LEFT of EPLING landscaping, OR there are a few spaces in the back of the building. No limos or buses, please call in advance if you have a large group.
